WorldSwitch updates

What changed for you, update by update. Only improvements that are actually live are listed here, at the date they went live.

  1. Faster, sturdier site, player profiles protected

    • Site pages load even when the server is very busy: they are served directly, without waiting for the application.
    • Files moved to dedicated storage: more reliable uploads and downloads.
    • Players: an unreadable player profile is flagged BEFORE payment instead of failing the conversion; an empty profile is skipped and reported.
    • The backup copy of players’ items no longer multiplies on round trips.
    • Java → Bedrock: a crafter set up in a certain way no longer makes the whole world fail.
    • Bedrock → Java: the experience of a player at an extreme level (beyond level 24,791) is capped instead of failing the conversion.
  2. Java terrain: no more silently holed worlds

    • Java → Bedrock: a world whose chunks use an unsupported compression (LZ4) is rejected before conversion, nothing is charged.
    • Unreadable terrain chunks or an incomplete region are flagged at analysis: you choose whether to continue before paying.
    • Cured villagers: the discount follows the game’s caps exactly.
  3. Minecraft Bedrock 26.52 and Java 26.3

    • Support for Bedrock 26.52 and Java 26.3: round trips without visible loss on our test worlds.
    • Bedrock → Java: cured villagers keep their discounts in Java 26.3, even without a Java account.
    • Game rules written in the Java 26.3 format; minecarts placed off rails are kept.
    • Payment in two checkboxes instead of three.
  4. MCCB benchmark page

    • New public page explaining what the MCCB benchmark tested and what it measured, world by world.
    • Site texts reviewed: pricing, limits for very old worlds, privacy.
  5. Engine: empty worlds, Nether and copper chests

    • Empty (or nearly empty) worlds are accepted in both directions.
    • Recent blocks converted better, including copper chests and the Nether.
    • Commands: crafting table recipes are translated both ways.
