// Frequently asked

What exactly gets converted?

The vast majority of supported vanilla content. Blocks and orientations, inventories and chests (enchantments, durability, custom names), 152 entity types, villagers and their trades, tamed animals, beacons, banners, colored signs, maps, redstone (direction preserved), command blocks (commands translated), biomes, player data and world settings. See the detailed reference →

What is NOT converted?

WorldSwitch does not transfer mods, data packs, behavior packs, resource packs, statistics or advancements together with the world. There is no general one-to-one equivalent between editions, although specialised tools can adapt some simple packs. Never-explored terrain does not exist in the file yet and will be generated by the target edition. A few additional limits are ours and are named one by one on the reference page.

Are redstone / piston orientations preserved?

Yes. Repeaters, comparators, observers, pistons and levers keep their orientation, and the signal strength in the dust is preserved.

Does my file stay private?

Yes. Normal processing is automated: no human reviews your world. If you choose to send it to support, authorised staff may however inspect it to diagnose the issue. Your access is cut off 24h after conversion and deletion of the file is triggered right away.

What does this site do? It faithfully converts your Minecraft worlds between Bedrock and Java, preserving inventories, chests, tamed mobs, villagers, player, maps and orientations.
Not transferable: mods, datapacks, texture and sound packs, behavior packs and add-ons, statistics and advancements, terrain you never visited. See it all in detail →
Our goal: maximum fidelity, with clearly disclosed limits. If you spot an imperfection, report it to bug@worldswitchapp.com.
